IT’S TIME TO GROW AND GLOW

Share Post:

What time is it?

Now o’clock!

Do you actually live with that attitude? Many people spend a lot of time dwelling on the past, or full of worry, fear, or dread at what the future holds.

What happens is, too many people reside in poverty consciousness. They worry about bills, debt, health, and the future.

As a personal coach, mentor, and success coach… as well as a recovering alcoholic, I am someone who has been there, too. I have discovered that about 90 percent of all our problems could be eradicated by simply… “taking no thought for the morrow.”

This saying is so simple, and yet so very profound.

When we look back in our mind, we allow what we see or think we see to cause us to feel feelings that no longer exist.”

STOP!

Think about that sentence again as you reread it.

Your memories of the past contain images and glimpses of reality that are really no longer relevant to where you are right now in your life. It may be important to look back in time to your family of origin to truly understand why you act as you do.

But… once you have looked and understood, you must burn the film and go on with your life. People who continuously live in the past spend so much wasted energy focusing on what they cannot change. They tell the same story over and over.

“How do I forgive myself?” they ask, telling themselves, “I can’t,” or “It’s not working.”

You just do it… is the answer. Forgive the past and move on.

Present Moment Consciousness

Just as your memories play tricks on you so that you often only remember the “hurts” rather than the good moments, such a distorted focus prevents you from loving your life, and this continues until you decide to live for today.

Learn to live in the moment.

Live in the NOW.

This is what I call present moment consciousness.

Many people drag the past into the present, and that clouds their view of the future. This causes lack of self-esteem and keeps people from ever gaining the confidence they desire.

What is your view of yourself?

How do you feel about you?

Do you deserve to have it all?

Do you love yourself?

A similar kind of distortion can happen to you if you are always living in the future.

This kind of person is easy to spot because they are always talking about what they are going to do next month and next year. This future-oriented person always says when such and such happens…  then as a result, they will do such and such. There is nothing wrong with having dreams, plans, or goals, but a vision without an action plan won’t get you very far.

To make the personal breakthroughs that really matter requires living in NOW time.

NOW time… is real time.

Integrate Changes… Move Into The NOW

Change is required if you are going to move into a state of NOW. Change isn’t hard… it’s new. It takes commitment to the process.

Here are the changes you will start to integrate:

  1. Develop present time consciousness.
  2. The time is now o’clock.
  3. Create a game plan—plan of action.
  4. Have a daily method of operation.
  5. Hold yourself accountable.
  6. Work goals in small or short increments.
  7. Break down issues to workable details.
  8. How many do I have to talk to?
  9. How many Nos?
  10. How many sales?
  11. Invest in books, audios, seminars, modeling, mentoring.
  12. Ask for the sale.
  13. Become a student of the game, the company, the product, and the
    industry.
  14. Learn all of the little things so you can teach all of them.
  15. Evaluate what your time is worth.
  16. Increase the value of your time.
  17. To get paid more, you must become more valuable.
  18. You don’t get paid for time… you get paid for results.
  19. A consistent game plan will produce consistent results.
  20. Refuse to quit before your time.
  21. Raise the bar and readjust your goals.
  22. Your thought process determines your bank account; take it to the
    bank.
  23. Become the driver, not the driven.

Always remember that no matter what has happened in the past, it has absolutely nothing to do with what’s happing now or what will happen in the future, unless you believe that it does!

Incorporate these powerful statements of resourcefulness into your thinking every day.

  • I will give you inspiration; you must provide the perspiration.
  • May your dreams be your only boundaries.
  • “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their
    dreams” (Eleanor Roosevelt).
  • Life is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
  • We are what we imagine, and that we become.
  • We all move in the direction of our present dominant thoughts.
  • To actualize, you must visualize.
  • A burning desire is much more important than facts, numbers, or
    knowledge.
  • The material items you earn or achieve are not nearly as important as
what you become in the process of reaching your goals.
  • “Nothing is so powerful as an idea whose time has come”—(Victor
    Hugo).
  • You can’t always control what happens, but you can control how you
    react.
  • Treat others the way you deserve to be treated.
  • You can tell a great man by the way he treats little people or a brand-
    new person.
  • You have to prepare yourself to be successful, even though it may appear that you are struggling. It is like this: readiness for opportunity makes for success.

The Importance of Focus

Working on all these areas at once with a plan of action will create momentum. Focus on what you want. If you don’t know what you want, then decide what you don’t want. Be fit emotionally… most people are out of shape emotionally.

To strengthen your resolve, you have to have a plan that moves the pendulum, not just swings the pendulum.

As you move into the new year, make it a habit to take some time at the end of each day to play back the video of your day’s performance.

The results either applaud you or prod you to improve.
