I’ve been in the network marketing and direct sales industry for over 30 years…

AND I’ve had the privilege of experiencing what it takes to succeed in this industry.

If you see the value in starting a business for low cost and the opportunity for high reward… then network marketing is a great choice. This type of venture has less moving parts than a traditional business. PLUS you can produce results from home.

And did you know that more 6 and 7-figure income earners come from network marketing than any other industry?

It’s true!

So, what does it take to be successful in network marketing?

Read on to find the secrets to success.

Personal Development

Without personal development, there is typically a lack of self-awareness. Self-awareness allows you to be clear about what you want to achieve and what is required to get there. As your focus becomes defined, your production should increase.  This is how your results flourish. Your income will not exceed your level of personal development.

Take Action

Create dedicated blocks of time where you commit to:

  • lead generation
  • prospecting
  • follow-up appointments
  • closing sales
  • team building

Without this commitment, your network marketing business will go nowhere fast. These aspects of the business must be done on a consistent basis to create a flow and gain momentum.  

Become Organized and Systemized

To be successful at network marketing, you require a method for daily operation. That means simple systems. In network marketing, duplication is where money is. You won’t be able to build a strong organization if what you do is hard.

Commit to the Process

Commitment means that you produce results even when uncomfortable feelings or emotions arise. These feelings can lead you to do the opposite. A commitment means you will do what’s required to create the success you are seeking.

You must find unshakeable belief in yourself and the process.

Become a Connector

What does connecting mean? Connecting means you are open. You are ready to receive. You deserve to have new contacts. You deserve to have new friends. You deserve to have new teammates. You deserve to attract people of influence and affluence.

It’s time to turn on your Opportunity Seeking Perception.

When you meet new people, this is the time to practice your connecting skills.

Here’s what I suggest…

1. Show genuine interest in people.

2. Smile.

3. Use the person’s name.

4. Pay attention to detail when you meet someone new. That means LISTEN.

5. Ask questions and learn about what matters to the person.

6. Let the person do 80% of the talking.

7. Be yourself.

You can’t sit on the sidelines and connect. You have to get in the game or people will walk right past you.  Network marketing is a connecting business.  Commit to becoming a professional connector. That means you have to be meeting new people regularly.

So… Be yourself. Build rapport. Ask good questions and be a good listener. It’s that simple.

What Does it Take to Succeed?

Creating the prosperity you are seeking will never come from a get rich quick scheme! That is NOT what network marketing is.

This industry is a profession that requires you to become a professional. You require a work ethic that is consistent and persistent. It requires self-motivation. Your commitment to the process is what will lead you to success.
